We are pleased to invite you to the 13th TRIPLE i conference: intuition, imagination and innovation in suicidology. The collaborative event brought to you by Slovene Centre for Suicide Research and De Leo Fund Onlus will be held from 31 May to 1 June in the online environment Zoom and in person at UP, Koper, Slovenia.
TRIPLE i is an international annual conference organised by the Slovene Centre for Suicide Research (Andrej Marušič Institute, University of Primorska, Slovenia) in memory of the late Prof. Andrej Marušič (around the time of his birthday) with the aim of promoting intuition, imagination and innovation in research and prevention of suicide and suicidal behaviour.
During the last years the conference has connected many people in the field of suicide research and prevention. The conference has developed into a platform for fruitful discussion between distinguished experts, interacting with young and perspective suicidologists or other eager professionals in the field.
The programme includes topics of suicide research and clinical work with suicidal patients. Thus, we will address theory, research, prevention, and interventions in suicidology. Each lecture will be followed by a discussion in which the participants will be invited to share their views. Existing difficulties in both research and clinical work will be specifically addressed.
Students, professionals, scholars, practitioners or others interested in the topic of suicidal behaviours from different fields and different parts of the world are invited to join the conference. Where is the event happening?
The conference will be held in the Zoom online environment.
It will also be possible to attend the conference in person at the premises of the University of Primorska (Meeting room, Titov trg 4, Koper, Slovenia). All participants interested in attending the conference in person are requested to indicate this on the registration form.
Registered participants will receive detailed instructions for participation via e-mail before the start of the conference.
When is the event happening?
The TRIPLE i Conference: 31 May – 1 June 2022
The dates of the annual conference are in late spring – around the time of late Prof. Andrej Marušič’s birthday.
What is the programme like?
The conference programme is adapted to the online format of the conference.
A two-day conference will consist of two sessions per day, each lasting approximately 180 minutes. Each session will include three presentations. In the first session of the day, the first lecture will take place at 9am UTC+2, the second at 10am UTC+2 and the third at 11am UTC+2. In the second session, the first lecture will start at 1pm UTC+2, the second at 2pm UTC+2 and the third at 3pm UTC+2. All sessions will include sufficient time for discussion between the presenters and the audience.
Different topics regarding research and prevention in suicidology will be addressed by distinguished international experts in the field of suicide research and prevention. The speakers will be announced soon.
Please note that all lecturers will deliver their lectures online.
