Triple i 2020

16 March 2020

Dear colleagues!

We regret to inform you that due to the current epidemiological situation regarding the spread of the virus/disease SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) we have decided to cancel this year’s Triple i in Suicidology conference. Although there is still some time to go before the planned conference date, and we believe that by then the situation will change for the better, the circumstances are currently too uncertain to plan the event. In case you have any questions, please send us an email to

Thank you for your understanding and we hope you will join us next year!

With warmest regards,

UP IAM Slovene Centre for Suicide Research

 28th – (29th) May 2020, Piran (Slovenia)

We are pleased to invite you to the 11th TRIPLE i conference: intuition, imagination and innovation in suicidology, which will be held on 28th (and 29th) May 2020 in the charming seaside town of Piran (Slovenia).

TRIPLE i is an international annual conference organised by the Slovene Centre for Suicide Research (Andrej Marušič Institute, University of Primorska, Slovenia) in memory of the late Prof. Andrej Marušič (around the time of his birthday) with the aim of promoting intuition, imagination and innovation in research and prevention of suicide and suicidal behaviour.

During the last years the conference has connected many people in the field of suicide research and prevention. The conference has developed into a platform for fruitful discussion between distinguished experts, interacting with young and perspective suicidologists or other eager professionals in the field.

The programme includes topics of suicide research and clinical work with suicidal patients and thus we will address theory, research, prevention and interventions in suicidology. Speakers will have more time than in usual conferences to present their experiences and participants will be invited to share their views. Existing difficulties in both research and clinical work will be specifically addressed.

Students, professionals, scholars, practitioners or others interested in the topic of suicidal behaviours from different fields and different parts of the world are invited to join the conference. Let the TRIPLE i be the opportunity to express and practice your intuition, imagination and innovative ideas.

This year, the conference will adopt a slightly different format than previously, as the first day will be scientific and international, while the second day of the conference will be dedicated to the training for the implementation of the A (se) štekaš?!? project in Slovenia. Please, see below for further information.

Prijazno vabljeni!

Warm welcome!
